Welcome to yet another unboxing and review of a model in my stash. This time we looking at the Das Werk 1/35 Kugelpanzer, a 2-kit combo pack. Let's get started.
What’s In The Box?
So one thing I'll state off the bat, is that this kit is very cheap, I picked it up on AndysHHQ for $15.95 at the time of this writing, so I wasn't expecting much. 2 completed models are included as depicted on the box, but no interior or figures are included. Cracking open the box lid is an instruction sheet, a small decal sheet, and 2 sprues of plastic. The decal sheet is well done, crisp, and easy to read, but no mention of who prints it. Markings are included for the factory unfinished version, a german, soviet, and red army livery as well. The instructions are printed in full color on glossy paper, something I have a love/hate relationship, I like that they are full color, but the glossy paper makes it hard to mark on with notes, etc, but in this case isn't much issue as they are only 2 pages long. One page is the building up of the entire model, and the second page has the marking and decal placement.
Turning to the two sprues, of which they are mirrored, is everything needed to build up the two models. There aren't many parts, as a matter of fact, there are 16 parts per model. The plastic is a tan color. Details on the parts look very good, not that there is much to see on this model, but there are rivet/bolt markings that stand prominent and will aid in detailing and weathering the model. I guess time to build this one up and show the final result huh!
